Assistant Community Pasture Range Riders

The Special Areas Board requires Range Rider Assistants from approximately May 1 to October 31 at four community pasture locations. Bullpound Community Pasture, Sounding Creek Community Pasture, Remount Community Pasture and Buffalo-Atlee Community Pasture.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Key duties include:

Assisting the Community Pasture Supervisor with admitting, checking, treating, moving, sorting, recording and exiting cattle from the pasture;

Miscellaneous maintenance and repair work on buildings, fences, water systems and corrals;

Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements; and

Other related duties.

Requirements:

Experience in handling livestock under range conditions is required;

Previous community pasture experience an asset;

Successful applicant must supply their own horses and tack; and

Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
