The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Asset Management Officer. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager of Planning & Community Services.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development, coordination, and maintenance of all aspects of a municipal Asset Management Program in collaboration with the General Manager.
Manage the selection, launch, and integration of a comprehensive asset management software system across municipal departments.
Manage the establishment and maintenance of an asset management registry for all municipal assets.
Supervise the research and assembly of existing data records from various departments and media, including GIS systems, excel spreadsheets, and other sources.
Train municipal staff on asset management processes and their role in collecting and using the data.
Analyze future funding requirements/long-range budgets to maintain the current municipal levels of service.
Review and update the Tangible Capital Asset policy to ensure compatibility with the Asset Management Program including accuracy and completeness of the assets listings, useful life, and amortization values.
Develop and regularly update asset management related policies, plans, and procedures.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership and Council to continually evolve the role and improve the program.
Compile the current condition and value of assets as well as recommend best practice for the future replacement, rehabilitation, or maintenance of capital infrastructure.
Create and provide various asset management reports regarding the many aspects involved with the management of capital infrastructure.
Supervise and mentor the asset management and GIS technical team.
College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Engineering, GIS) from an accredited College or University, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Asset Management Certification and training from a recognized Institute or organization is an asset.
Project Management experience and/or certification is an asset.
Five (5) years of previous experience in municipal/public infrastructure asset management, developing and maintaining infrastructure inventory databases, infrastructure condition assessments, lifecycle costing, risk assessment, and/or infrastructure renewal costing and priority setting.
Proficiency in the field of information management systems (i.e. asset management systems, GIS applications).
Must be professional and reliable with proven interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office.
A valid class 5 driver's license is required.
Salary: $86,486.09-$104,781.99 per year
