We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Administrator Engineering Environment and CRSWSC in our Engineering department.
About the Opportunity:
Administrator Engineering Environment and Capital Region Southwest Water Services Commission (CRSWSC) is responsible for delivering accurate and key information to the public and internal staff members regarding various projects and programs relating to engineering, environmental, and cemetery services. This position also serves the CRSWSC Board members, City staff, and public volunteers for environmental events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide front counter reception service for the second floor of the Operations Building by greeting visitors professionally and courteously while also directing all project-related inquiries to the appropriate person
- Prepare, proofread, format, and edit various letters, documents, and correspondence, including Council Reports, and CRSWSC reports
- Assist cemetery clients in various ways including purchasing plots and making arrangements for burials, and receiving/processing payments. Assist commemorative bench clients with their applications.
- Respond to inquiries and take appropriate action for all incoming emails and in-person requests concerning the waste diversion program, Eco station, yard waste transfer station, and Leduc & District Waste Management Facility
- Coordinate 5-8 environmental events each year and assist with environmental projects as requested. Includes coordinating with other departments, securing vendors/contractors, coordinating advertising, managing budgets, and attending events as a City ambassador while overseeing volunteers
- Prepare and distribute communications on behalf of the CRSWSC Manager and Board Chair including writing speeches and preparing various documents for the Board Chair
Requirements:
You are an ideal candidate if you have the following:
- A diploma from an accredited post-secondary school or college related to business or administration
- Three to four years of experience directly related to secretarial work or business administration in a demanding, fast-paced office environment
- Experience in municipal government would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of the Community and City procedures and policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and services
- Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check at own expense
- Must be fully immunized against COVID-19 and be willing to provide proof of immunization or provide written approved exemption on the basis of a protected ground under the Alberta Human Rights Act
