The role of the administrative summer students will work closely with the Business Services, Corporate Services and the External Relations and Advocacy departments on day-to-day activities. The summer students will ensure all personal information is handled confidentially, all data is entered accurately into the database and filed appropriately in support of our regulatory compliance process. In addition, there is a strong focus on computer skills with the requirement to read, validate, extract and enter specific information into our database. Data comes from multiple sources internally as well as from external vendors and databases. The students will also be required to help with organization events, with some possible light labor duties.
Note: This is a term position from June to August, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Proficiency in data entry
Accountable for database entries, validation of data for compliance, reporting and preparation of data and records
Create, review and validate data reports for accuracy and completeness
Scanning of documents into organization drive
Gather information and retrieval of archived documents from various systems, folders and storage.
Provide support on various on and off site events
Light labor related duties
Access, update and upload files and forms
Electronic filing, handling and tracking of emails and phone messages
Type, Review and Edit of documents
Supporting the Administrative Coordinators
Provide vacation coverage for colleagues as required
Other related branch administrative duties as assigned

High school or post-secondary student with possible applicable work experience and training.

Strong time management skills
Able to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated and self-directed.
Able to and enjoy working in a team environment including keeping others appropriately
