• Provide reception to the public and respond to inquiries for general information on matters related to the Planning and Development department.


• Assist with administration of various programs which involve providing prompt public services, answering telephone inquiries and booking appointments for the Director of Planning & Development.


• Provide administrative support by composing and processing correspondence, reports, agendas, and minutes.


• Provide administrative support to the Tourism & Economic Development Officer.


• Assist with the setup, processing, and tracking of Development Permit applications, Certificates of Compliance and Requests for Information.


• Assist with the setup, processing, and tracking of Subdivision applications and Bylaw Amendments.


• Knowledgeable with the Government of Alberta Spatial Information System for obtaining title searches and other legal information from The Northern Alberta Land Titles Office.


• Be knowledgeable with online resources including but not limited to: Athabasca County WebMap, SPIN, iCompass, Munisight, and eSight.


• Understanding of the County Financial System and issuance of receipts as required.


• Be familiar with the records retention policy and procedures; ensure all information is properly marked, organized, and maintained accordingly.


• Other duties as assigned by the Director.
