Engineering Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Engineering Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Manager, Capital Projects and Development, this position has an active role in most projects throughout the City providing technical advice on both project management and engineering specific items. The position liaises with other departments and with external agencies to facilitate project implementation. This position requires complex multi-tasking skills to be able to handle volume and ever-switching priorities, while also having a strong background in municipal procedures and civil engineering to provide advice in a timely manner. This position is responsible for multi-million-dollar budgets as well as managing some operating budgets as directed.
Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will have a minimum of a technical engineering diploma (civil discipline) from a recognized technical institute or a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in municipal engineering either within a municipality or consulting firm. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in project management is required as well as knowledge and experience with MS Office Software. Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS software, water modeling software, sanitary sewer modeling software would be an asset. You will also be eligible for professional designation as either a C.E.T with ASSET or a P. Eng with APEGA. Equivalencies will be considered including Engineering in Training (E.I.T.) or Technologist in Training (T.T.). As part of the hiring process you must be willing to provide a current, clear Criminal Records Check.
