Support the Economic Development Department in achieving business plan and work plan tactics.
Aid the department in data entry, interpretation of data, and relaying information in an easily consumable format.
Supporting department initiatives such as the business visitation program, business networking events, procurement activities among others.
Cross departmental and cross divisional interactions to ensure activities of the Economic Development Department are complementary to other activities in the organization.
Measuring the impact of events, activities, and engagements of the department as it relates back to the department business plan.
Aid the department in our Business Attraction, Retention and Expansion activities.
Act as a representative of Sturgeon County and the department in public venues and (chamber events, business networking or regional events) and as a part of intermunicipal initiatives.
Adhere to applicable responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the Sturgeon County Health and Safety Management System.
Facilitative skills and ability to collaborate, in a professional manner, with varied internal and external stakeholder groups.
High Communication, organizational and customer service skills as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and accurate word processing and proof reading skills.
Excellent organizational, demonstrated ability to plan projects, manage deadlines and sequence priorities of work related to the position.
This position requires a person currently enrolled in or who has just completed a post-secondary degree or diploma (or substantial completion) related to, business, commerce, marketing, or another related field. Previous experience in business development or marketing roles would be an asset.
