The mission of the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA) is “Through the provision of advocacy, trade and insurance services, the RMA will assist rural municipalities in achieving strong and effective local government”. The RMA Business Services is one of Canada’s largest and most influential public sector buying groups. Under the banner head of Business Services, there are three longstanding business units: 1) Trade Division incorporated in 1935, 2) RMA Insurance Agency incorporated in 1955, and 3) RMA Fuel in business since 1965. The Position
The role of the administrative summer student is essential to the smooth operation of our organization. The ability to multi-task is essential. This position also requires someone who has the ability and initiative to work with all layers of the organization. Computer skills with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook are needed along with the ability to use other pieces of office equipment such as a scanner, photocopier, and mail machine.
Candidates must qualify under STEP 2018 Summer Program; therefore, international and foreign student are not eligible.
The summer student must be registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis by Fall 2018.

- Preparation and Scanning documents
- Supporting the Administrative Coordinators
- Filing documents
- Checking e-mail and phone messages daily
- Provide vacation coverage for colleagues as required
- Other related branch administrative duties as assigned

Education:
