RMH is seeking applications for its second year of operation.
The
Rural Mental Health Project (RMH), hosted by the
Alberta Division of the Canadian Mental Health Association, is a program that works with rural communities to develop community mental health roadmaps and action plans. The RMH works to train local Community Animators, who will then act as leaders in their community to bring together stakeholders, including municipalities, and develop a mental health roadmap.
RMH worked with 24 rural communities in their pilot year, and is now accepting applications for year two. To view the application form, click
here. In many cases the Community Animator is the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Coordinator, although any community member can receive training to be the Community Animator. To get in touch with your local FCSS coordinator, click
