The federal government has
released details regarding applications for $150 million in funding introduced in the 2016 federal budget as part of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Fund. This is in addition to $150 million that was previously allocated under the same fund.
The program will provide up to 50 percent of funding to provincial, territorial, and municipal governments, as well as Aboriginal organizations and non-profit organizations to renovate, expand or rehabilitate community and cultural infrastructure. The projects will be grouped under two broad themes: those that promote a clean growth economy and those that contribute to a positive impact on indigenous communities.
