Key Responsibilities Include:
This position is a management and technical position that is responsible for all aspects of service delivery related to Information Technology (IT) and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and reports to the General Manager, Corporate Services.
•Perform management duties, which include hiring, training, on-going performance feedback, Establishes expectations, professional development plans, provide on-going job performance feedback, mentor, and coach of Information Services staff.
•Develop and prepare annual operating and capital budgets in accordance with the objectives and policies of Sturgeon County.
•Coordinate and assists with implementation of process decisions on program activities relating to: recovery standards and implementation; technology improvements; hardware and software implementation; strategic planning; and equipment standards.
•Provide leadership and advice to technical staff within the department while occasionally assisting with technical tasks as required.
•Obtain and administer vendor maintenance and lease agreements and manage accurate record keeping of system and program inventories.
•Remain up-to-date on system and technology developments. Monitor and report progress of program development to management and senior leadership teams.
•Work with IT and GIS staff to conduct research on best practices while working with the programs to recommend and implement enhanced strategies to increase efficiencies.
•Coordinate and maintain the Information Services Governance model and associated steering committees as requested by senior leadership team.
•Evaluate and develop technology needs based on feedback from business units. Develop short term and long-term plans that align with capital and operating budget cycles.
•Execute the Information Services Strategic plan as directed by senior leadership team.
Requirements:
•Post-Secondary diploma in Computer Sciences or related field
•7-10 years of relevant experience in a Management or Supervisory role.
•Experience in a municipal environment is an asset.
•Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) Foundation Certification required; ITIL® Expert designation considered an asset.
•A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification preferred. A Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Experience in GIS theory and application is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $106,599 - $140,277
