Requirements:
The minimum level of education required by this position is a diploma/degree in social work, psychology, human services, or social sciences disciplines. The incumbent must have at least three (3) years experience in community development; and must have case management and assessment experience. The incumbent must have working knowledge and skills in family violence issues, family dynamics, trauma informed approach, and group facilitation, have the ability to support and encourage families and be able to work with families in their own environment.
The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the incumbent must be skilled at building relationships and developing community linkages to ensure collaboration with agencies, organizations, families, and workers and be able to develop and deliver quality family support services.
The position requires some evening and weekend work, and reliable personal transportation for travel throughout Leduc County.
A criminal records check and a drivers' abstract check satisfactory to Leduc County are conditions of employment.
