Key Responsibilities Include:
Reporting to the Director of Municipal Services, the Planning Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing projects related to municipal planning and providing advice on major decisions involving urban and regional planning issues. Currently reporting to the Supervisor are Planning, GIS and administrative staff.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Certificate in Land Use Planning; a University degree in a Planning discipline is preferred. You bring a minimum of four (4) years of relevant and progressive rural planning experience preferably in a municipal environment. You have previous supervisory experience coupled with excellent communication, team building, conflict resolution, organizational and time management skills. You enjoy problem solving and working with a wide range of people. In addition, you have working knowledge of the Municipal Government Act (MGA) and Municipal Land Use Planning documents.
